SUBMIT A MEMORY

If you have a memory that you believe is false, meaning a clear, specific memory of something that apparently did not happen or does not exist, I want to hear about it.

What I am looking for:

- Specific memories, not vague feelings (though if you are experiencing what we are calling "tonal memories" I want to hear about those too)
- Details: names, dates, places, physical descriptions, anything concrete
- How confident you are in the memory
- Whether you have found anyone else who shares the same memory
- When you first realized the memory was wrong

What I am NOT looking for:

- "I think I might have misremembered something once" - everyone has
- Dreams or half-memories that you are not confident about
- Theories or explanations (we are collecting data, not proposing causes)

The more specific you are, the more useful your report is. If someone else contacts me with the same memory, I need enough detail to determine whether the accounts match independently.

How to submit:

Please include:

1. Your name or a handle (anonymous submissions are fine)
2. A detailed description of the memory
3. When the memory is from and when you realized it was wrong
4. Your location (state or country is sufficient)
5. Whether anyone else you know shares the memory

All submissions are reviewed. Significant cases may be posted to the forum with your permission. If you prefer to remain anonymous, say so and I will respect that.

I read every email. Response time varies depending on volume but I will reply. If your case matches an existing pattern in our files, I will let you know. You are not alone in this.
